Police Thursday foiled a march of Awami Ittehad Party and arrested its President Er Rasheed along with party workers.

Inam-un-Nabi, the spokesperson of AIP said that the party had organized a protest march against granting domicile certificates to West Pakistan Refugees.

“We had planned a march from SK Park to Lalchowk,” he said, adding, “Police resorted to lathi charge and arrested Er Rasheed and other party workers.”

The spokesperson said that several of the party workers have been injured in the police action, while two of them have been shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment.
