SRINAGAR: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Wednesday congratulated members of Jammu and Kashmir Indian Medical Association (JKIMA) for constructing JKIMA house at Bemina in Srinagar.

President Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK), Dr Suhail Naik said that in order to pursue noble aim and objectives for the advancement of health and medical education in Kashmir, in the larger interest people and to provide a platform for young doctors, such institution are the heart of the medical profession.

The house can be used for organising national level conventions, seminars, conferences and other technical activities for doctors fraternity.

Naik said presently there is a scarcity of such facility and consequently our activities are restricted to a great extent.

The JK IMA house at GMC hostel Bemina Srinagar will provide multiple services to doctors fraternity at reasonable rates besides academic activities, seminars, workshops, annual meetings, conferences, different trainings and accommodation.

He said the construction work of building is already in an advanced stage, but there is an urgent need to construct a conference hall for it equipped with all facilities and audiovisual system.

“As we all are aware that the funds at their disposal are too meager to do these megaprojects, hence the contribution from individual doctor and well-wishers are the only source, which can fulfill our cherished dream,” he said.

In the earnest desire to complete the above projects, a humble beginning has been made by committee members by donation/ collection of funds.

For this purpose, DAK appeals to doctors to contribute generously for giving a final shape to the house.

“We, therefore, request all honourable doctors to come forward and contribute generously for the noble cause so that the task could be accomplished expeditiously,” he said.

DAK requested doctors to donate whatever they can at JK Bank GMC branch Srinagar account no. 0349040100009410.
