SRINAGAR: The relatives of the missing downtown man staged a protest at the Press colony on Thursday seeking his whereabouts. Reyaz Ahmad Khan 55, a resident of Urdu Bazar Fateh Kadal is missing from Jammu city since September 3, 2020.
He was posted at Bari Brahmana where he works as a storekeeper in a defense canteen. According to the relatives, he has gone to bring his COVID test to GMC Jammu wherefrom he has not returned.
According to his son, Fardeen, Ahmad has made the last call to his family on 3 September 2020. “He told us that he is going to enter the hospital and there might be no network but on CCTV footages of GMC Jammu he has not entered inside the hospital”. Reyaz has a daughter, son, and an ailing mother.
His daughter is going to get married next month. The family has also lodged FIR in the Jammu police station but there is no clue of him yet. “Police is delaying and avoiding the matter” family alleges. The family appeals to SSP Srinagar, LG, and other officials to intervene in this matter.
