SRINAGAR: Over 12 people sustained injuries after a passenger bus travelling from Udhampur to Jammu met with an accident near Jhajjar Kotli on Saturday morning.
Eyewitnesses said the speeding bus (JK02AT 2279), veered off the road, damaging the vehicle. Emergency teams, including police and ambulances, rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for treatment.
Officials said condition of some injured is stated to be critical . The cause of the accident is attributed to over-speeding.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and registered a case in this regard. [KNT]
