SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir’s five-time Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah’s condition is improving. He was admitted to SKIMS on April 3, almost four days after he was tested positive for Covid-19.

“Dr Sahab is stable,” one senior doctor from the hospital management side said. “We have not decided about his discharge though.”

Dr Abdullah was admitted to SKIMS in a state of breathlessness. “He started improving very first night,” sources closer to his treating team said. “He is much improved today,” another medical professional said.

Dr Abdullah is the most protected person in Jammu and Kashmir. The National Security Guards (NSG) that routinely protects him have taken over the premises and regulated the movement of the building where Dr Abdullah is being treated. Omar Abdullah, Dr Farooq son, has been closer to his father for all these days.

Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor visited Omar Abdullah and offered to fly him to Delhi if he so wishes. But the Abdullahs’ refused saying SKIMS is the best medical facility.
