Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) president Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday demanded a strict action against two students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri, for “disrespecting the national anthem”.
He asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to take action unless the students apologized.
“I think these students have made a great mistake as the honor of the nation is important and action must be taken. They will have to suffer the consequences of what they have done. The government should initiate action against them unless they apologize,” Farooq said.
The NC president was talking to media persons on the sidelines of a function organized to commemorate the death anniversary of former minister Girdhari Lal Dogra.
