SRINAGAR: The Health and Medical Education Department has appointed Dr Jahangir Bakshi as the new Director of Health Services Kashmir, effective immediately. Dr Bakshi will take over from Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, who has been reassigned as Director Coordination for new medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Rather, who was previously overseeing the role of Director Health Kashmir, has been transferred to his new position. Dr Bakshi, the current In-Charge Medical Superintendent at the Super Specialty Hospital in Srinagar, will now assume the role of Director Health Services Kashmir.
