SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the transfer and posting of Dr Poonam Sethi as In-Charge Director, Health Services, Jammu, in the interest of administration and patient care.
According to Government Order No. 392–JK (HME) of 2026 dated May 4, Dr Sethi, who was serving as In-Charge Director Family Welfare, MCH and Immunisation, JK, has been reassigned to the new post with immediate effect.
The order, issued by the Health and Medical Education Department, states that the arrangement is purely temporary and subject to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before competent courts. It further clarifies that the appointment will not confer any right on the officer to seek preferential treatment during regularisation or promotion, which shall be governed strictly as per rules.
