A truck driver and conductor were electrocuted to death while adjusting the ropes a top the truck with HT line at Nowgam Srinagar, police said Saturday evening.
Driver Gurdeep Singh son of Joginder Singh resident of Raiya District Amritsar and Conductor Arundeep singh son of Baljeet Singh resident of Amritsar of Traveller Truck bearing registration number PB02 BN-9877 while adjusting the top ropes of the truck got electrocuted with HT line at Nowgam, Srinagar. After completion of all legal formalities, both the dead bodies have been dispatched to their native villages. Srinagar police has started investigation under section 174 CrPC.
Police recovered a dead body of Chusnit Gyatso aged about 24 years son of Tsering Morup resident of Nimoo from his room opposite SNM Hospital Leh in hanging position. After completion of all legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
Fire broke out in the Kiryana shop of Abdul Rehman Hajam resident of Dooru Sopore. The owner of the shop received burn injuries and has been shifted to Sub District Hopital Sopore for treatment. Fire was brought under control by fire Tenders and Police. Cause of fire is due to the electric shot circuit.
