Department of Drug and Food Safety on Monday held inspection in Anantnag town under the supervision of District Officer, Food and Safety Department Anantnag Zameer Ahmad. During the inspection, licenses of Shopkeepers were checked.
The checking squad inspected other locations in town including Khanabal, Harnag, Dakbunglow, Lalchowk and Janglatmandi. During inspection local cigarettes like WIN, Shooter was seized and also shopkeepers were fined for violating norms.
District officer, Zameer Ahmad while speaking with media persons told that the inspection drive was conducted on directions of both Deputy Commissioner Food Safety as well as DDC Anantnag. We will continue with such work and will go tough against the erring shopkeepers.”
