Islamabad police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 97 kilograms of Fukki from his possession, a police spokesperson informed in a statement issued this afternoon.
Acting on specific information, Islamabad police laid a naka at Sangam in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bijbehara. During naka checking a Sumo bearing registration number JK03C-9611 driven by Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Hamid Dar resident of Bandina, Awantipora was intercepted. On search of the vehicle 97 kilograms of Fukki was recovered. Islamabad police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, the statement said that four structures were damaged in different fire incidents in Shopian and Budgam.
Fire broke out in the building of Agriculture Department at Batpora in the jurisdiction of Police Station Shopian, resulting in damage to the structure. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders.
In another incident, fire broke out in the building of Jamia-ul- Uloom Darasgah at Alyalpora in the jurisdiction of Police Station Shopian, resulting in the damage to the structure. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders.
Meanwhile, fire broke out in the residential house of Shabir Ahmad Sheikh resident of Mimender in the jurisdiction of Police Station Shopian, resulting in damage to the house. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders.
Fire broke out in the joint residential house of house of Hyder Ali Parra and Hassan Ali Parra residents of Parraypora Khag, Budgam, resulting in the damage to the structure. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders.
