Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday arrested a drug peddler in Srinagar and seized charas from his possession.
The police spokesman said Srinagar police arrested a notorious and chronic drug peddler from Saina-Bawa, Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh alias Gul Nuik son of Mohammad Sultan Sheikh resident of Baran-Pathar Batmaloo & recovered 8 kilograms of Poppy Straw (Fukki) & 105 grams of Cannabis from his possession.
A formal Case under FIR No. 80/2018 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Batamaloo & investigation taken up, the spokesman said.
