SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police said they have arrested a drug peddler in Bandipora and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.

Identified as Latief Ahmad Rather son of Mohmad Munawar Rather resident of Gamroo Bandipora, a police spokesman said they recovered 550 tablets of Spasmoproxyvon were recovered from his possession.

The spokesman said the arrest was the outcome of specific information on which the SHO Bandipora established a surprise checkpoint at Papachan. During checking police party intercepted a suspicious person who was arrested.

Accordingly, a case FIR No 134/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Bandipora and an investigation has been initiated.
