Drug peddler nabbed in southern Kashmir’s Bijbehara

Jammu and Kashmir police has claimed to have arrested a drug peddler along with seven kilograms of “charas” from his possession on Thursday, officials said on Friday.

Acting on specific information, police laid a trap and nabbed the alleged drug paddler, Firdous Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Katriting, falling under the police jurisdiction Bijbehara.

The arrested was carrying the contraband on a motor cycle bearing registration No, CH01AS-5745, from Kanelwan towards Bijbehara .

Police has registered a case (FIR NO. 198/2017) under section 8/20 NDPS Act against the accused.
