Drug peddler who escaped from police custody re-arrested in Samba

A drug peddler, who escaped from police custody, was re-arrested in the Ghagwal area of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sahil Singh alias Tindu, who escaped from police station Bari Brahmana on Sunday morning, was re-arrested late last night from Ghagwal tehsil of Samba, police said here on Monday.

They said a fresh case was registered against him.

He was arrested in a drug peddling case along with other on Saturday with 400 intoxicant capsules.

A Sub-Inspector and two constables were also suspended and booked for dereliction of duty.
