SRINAGAR: The Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has announced revised timings for all government and recognised private schools up to the Higher Secondary level in the Jammu division, with the new schedule coming into effect from October 1.
Under the revised schedule, schools in the Summer Zone will operate from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, while those in the Winter Zone will remain open from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The DSEJ has directed all concerned institutions to adhere to the prescribed timings.
It has also warned that any deviation from the notified schedule will invite action against the defaulting institution under the rules in force.
The revised timings will apply to schools across the Jammu division falling under the respective Summer and Winter zones.
