SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has given teaching and other staff in the Jammu division a final opportunity to submit cases for one-time exemption for higher qualifications acquired through distance or online mode without prior permission from the Administrative Department.
The decision follows Government Order No. 367-JK (Edu) of 2026, issued by the School Education Department, which extended the deadline for submission of such cases until September 30, 2026.
Under the notice issued by the Directorate of School Education Jammu, eligible employees have been asked to submit the required documents within 10 days of the issuance of the notice, along with recommendations from the concerned Chief Education Officer (CEO).
The Directorate made it clear that no pending or fresh representations, claims or cases under Government Order No. 188-JK (Edu) of 2024, dated March 15, 2024, will be entertained after the stipulated period, irrespective of the reason for the delay.
The concerned CEOs have also been directed to ensure and certify that no case relating to one-time exemption for acquiring higher studies by teaching or other staff remains pending before the competent authority in their respective districts.
The notice was issued by the Director of School Education, Jammu, for compliance by the concerned officials and staff.
