Srinagar: Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Thursday celebrated Pakistan Day by holding events and programs at every district headquarter across the state, a statement of the outfit issued here read.

As per the statement, a program was held at Srinagar which was chaired by the party chairperson, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, and was attended by hundreds of party members.

The statement said that scores of party members participated in the programs and celebrated the Pakistan Day with great zeal and enthusiasm.

In the programs, the statement said, the flags of Pakistan were raised and the anthem was sung to express the love and solidarity for Pakistan.

Addressing the gathering at the Srinagar event, Mrs Andrabi said that Kashmiris were celebrating the day on a land that belongs to us . “We are not celebrating this day on someone else’s land but we are celebrating this great day on the land which has been illegally occupied by India and is destined to become part of Pakistan , InshaAllah,” she said.

“Though the JK is disputed territory, the celebrations, once again, are a clear message to India that we want to end all forcible, illegal and sinister relations with it and want to join our beloved country, Pakistan,” she said.
