SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Surinder Choudhary on Sunday virtually laid the foundation stones for several key road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) at the PWD Guest House in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The event was attended by Satish Sharma and Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with senior officials of the Public Works Department.
The projects are aimed at improving rural connectivity, facilitating transportation and promoting economic growth in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said the road works under the PMGSY will help improve access for rural populations, providing better connectivity to markets, educational institutions and healthcare facilities.
They added that the initiative will strengthen infrastructure and support development in remote villages while expanding the region’s road network.
