SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Sunday ordered an inquiry into the quality of construction of two bridges being built under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in Nad and Sumb blocks of Samba district.
During an inspection of the ongoing works, Choudhary reviewed the progress and construction quality of the two bridges and expressed displeasure over delays in their completion.
He directed the officials concerned to expedite the works while ensuring that prescribed quality standards are maintained and the projects are completed within the stipulated timeframe.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the inquiry into the quality of the bridge construction would be initiated, while stressing the need for timely completion of the projects to improve rural connectivity in the area.
