SRINAGAR: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Tuesday launched the ‘e-Nyaya Sarathi’ web portal and mobile application, a digital platform aimed at providing citizens easier access to legal information, judicial resources and government legal services.
Developed by the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, the platform brings a range of legal services and resources under one roof, allowing users to access them digitally from anywhere.
The portal includes facilities for legal aid and pro-bono assistance, a repository of Acts, Rules, judgments and government notifications, besides ‘Search Your Case’ and ‘Find My Court’ services.
It also has dedicated modules relating to Women and Child Development and advocate-related matters.
A key feature of the platform is an AI-enabled chatbot designed to assist users with legal queries and help them navigate the various services available on the portal.
Speaking at the launch, Dulloo said the initiative was an important step towards strengthening citizen-centric digital governance and making legal services more accessible and easier to navigate.
He said the platform would help bridge the gap between citizens and legal institutions by placing essential legal information and services at their fingertips.
Commissioner Secretary, Law, Achal Sethi, gave details of the various features of the platform during the event.
The launch was attended by senior officers, including ACS PWD, Principal Secretary Home, Principal Secretary Culture, Registrar General of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, Senior Additional Advocate General Mohsin Qadri, Member Secretary of the J&K State Legal Services Authority, Commissioner Secretaries of H&UDD, Social Welfare, Science and Technology and Law, besides senior officers of the Rural Development Department, Legislative Assembly and Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
Members of the technical team involved in developing the platform were also present.
The e-Nyaya Sarathi portal is available at www.enyayasarathi.jk.gov.in, while its mobile application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
