SRINAGAR: An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 rocked Srinagar on Tuesday late night, causing panic among the residents.

“The earthquake occurred at 09:40 pm in the Srinagar region. The coordinates of the tremor were latitude 34.15 degrees north and longitude 74.70 degrees east,” Director Meteorological department Sonam Lotus told Kashmir Life.

Lotus also said that the depth of the earthquake was five kilometres.

He said there were no reports of any damage. “We are gathering the information but as of now, there is no immediate report of any casualty or damage to property in the earthquake,” said Lotus.
