SRINAGAR: Enforcement Directorate has issued show cause notice to the JKLF leader Yasin Malik in a 2001 case. It also has gone to a Srinagar based couple Mrs and Mrs Mushtaq Ahmad Dar.
Notices have been issued under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, they said. J&K police in 2001 had seized one lakh US dollors and made certain arrests.
Reports said that investigations took its own time and has been completed now. After the conclusion of the investigations, the ED has issued the notice.
JKLF leader Yasin Malik said he has not received the notice so far. “After the news reports suggested that a notice was issued, I am waiting for the same,” he said. “Once it is in my hand, I will comment further.”
