SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president and Member of Parliament, Farooq Abdullah, is set to face questioning on Thursday by the Enforcement Directorate concerning alleged financial irregularities within the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, NDTV reported.

This move makes him the latest opposition figure summoned by the central probe agency.

The case under scrutiny involves the misappropriation of funds belonging to the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association.

These funds, as per the NDTV report were allegedly diverted to personal bank accounts, including those of cricket association office bearers. The Enforcement Directorate initiated a money laundering investigation based on a chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation against the association’s office bearers.
