A para captain of army has succumbed to injuries in an Army hospital in Srinagar. He had sustained injuries in an ongoing encounter at EDI building in Sempora. Intermittent firing was going on between militants who have occupied EDI building and forces even late evening on Saturday.
The area remains sealed off and the highway has been closed for traffic.
Two CRPF personnel and a civilian have died while nine CRPF troopers have been injured in the firefight that erupted Saturday evening when militants attacked a convoy on the highway in Sempore.
