In the backdrop of the valley-wide student protests demanding justice to Kathua minor, minister for education Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari on Sunday ordered the closure of all private tuition centres in Kashmir valley for 90 days.

The minister made the announcement while chairing a meeting of chief education officers, zonal education officers and principals of higher secondary schools.

“Report should go to the concerned district administration as well. All coaching centres will remain closed for next 90 days,” media reports quoted Bukhari saying.

 

The report further said that minister has also asked the director school education Kashmir to submit a list of teachers, masters and lecturers who are working in private coaching centres.
