The meeting, attended by senior officials including JKBOSE Chairman and Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education Shantamanu, Secretary School Education Ram Niwas Sharma, and Directors of School Education for Kashmir and Jammu, focused on examination conduct, evaluation, curriculum development, digitisation, and ongoing reforms.

Itoo emphasised timely conduct of examinations, efficient grievance redressal for students, and completion of curriculum updates before the new academic session. She directed JKBOSE to ensure textbooks are available by November-end and to establish a proper dispatch system to avoid delays.

The Minister appreciated recent student-centric initiatives, urging stronger mechanisms for evaluation so results could be declared on time. She also asked the Board to release date sheets for Classes 10 and 12 well in advance to aid student preparation.

Underscoring the importance of accountability and efficiency, Itoo called for infrastructure upgradation, staff capacity-building, and closer coordination with schools. “Education is the foundation of our future. The role of JKBOSE is pivotal in shaping a transparent, modern, student-friendly system,” she said.

JKBOSE Secretary presented an action plan for upcoming examinations and outlined other initiatives being undertaken by the Board.
