Authorities on Wednesday said that all the Educational Institutions will remain closed in north Kashmir’s Sopore Sub Division “as a precautionary measure”.
An official said that the decision to close the institutions today have been taken to maintain law and order.
The decision was taken on Tuesday following the gunfight in Tujjer area of Sopore, where militants were killed during an encounter between the government forces and militants.
Meanwhile, a partial shutdown is being observed in the town to mourn the killings.
