Fearing student protests against the  Manan Wani’s killings, the district administration in various districts have decided to the closure of schools and colleges on Friday while the Kashmir University announced the suspension of classes.

Deputy administration Srinagar decided to suspend class work in all schools and colleges of Srinagar district on Friday.

District administration Bandipora decided to close all schools and colleges tomorrow in view of the killing of scholar-turned-militant Manan Wani.

“All Govt Educational institutions including Degree Colleges, Private Schools /Colleges in the territorial jurisdiction of District Bandipora shall remain closed on 12th Of Oct 2018,” said the District Magistrate Bandipora.

Official sources said the decision has been taken as a “precautionary measure” to avoid law and order situation in the valley.

Scholar turned militant Wani was killed along with an associate in Shatgund village of Kupwara district.
