Authorities have closed all the educational institutions of Kashmir valley after heavy snowfall badly hit the normal life on Tuesday.

“All the Primary, middle, high and higher secondary schools will remain closed on March 11 and 12,” an officer in the divisional Commissioner’s office said adding “all kinds of colleges in the valley will also remain closed keeping in view the present weather conditions.”

The officials said that any decision about the functioning of the educational institutions will be taken only after a fresh review of the situation on Wednesday.

Meanwhile the whole valley is facing acute power cut since mid night.
