SRINAGAR: After taking their own time in reviewing the situation prevailing across Kashmir, the divisional administration has decided that the educational institutions will re-open on Tuesday. The decision was taken after the government asked the respective deputy commissioners to review the situation and take their own decisions.

“It was decided that the educational institutions will open on Tuesday,” Deputy Commissioner Srinagar told Kashmir Life. “It means all educational institutions.”

The decision was taken after the Divisional Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner’s met and reviewed teh situation. News reports appearing in the media quoted the Kashmir Commissioner saying that all teh schools, higher secondary institutions and the colleges will have the working day on Tuesday.

Educational institutions were closed Monday morning for a day after the reports about the killing of three militants came. Two of the locals and drop-outs from a University were later laid to rest in the afternoon in Srinagar and Kokernag.
