SRINAGAR: Ehsaas International, a social organisation on Saturday distributed special educational kits among poor students in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
PRO Ehsaas International in a statement said that hundred’s of special education kits, which included class specific bags, stationery and other items were distributed among needy students from Bandipora.
He said that the district has been a key intervention area for Ehsaas, and the organization has worked on several projects in the area.
“One such project was the establishment of coaching centres after 2019 lockdown which lasted till March 2020. 14 coaching centres in Sonawari belt, with more than 1400 students enrolled and benefitted in this project,” he said.
“The teachers of these coaching centers were being gifted footwear, sponsored by Adnan Shah CEO Fashion Fiesta who is the Philanthropic partner of Ehsaas International,” he added.
The spokesman said that the event was inaugurated by Dr Bashir Ahmed, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Sumbal, who addressed the students talking about the importance of education and how students can keep in touch with their studies in these hard times.
“Other dignitaries and officers from the district administration present at the event stressed on the need of studying and following safety protocols to all the attendees,” he said.
“ Tipi Tap an innovative tool which is a hands-free sanitization system was unveiled by Ehsaas, the Chairman of the organization Tabasum Geelani announced that the organization will cater to the sanitization needs of the schools for one year in the area once the schools resume operations,” he added.
“All the safety protocol were followed in the event, which ended in great success with all the students going home happy and with a new enthusiasm towards their studies with the arrival of new education kits,” PRO Ehsaas International Syed Amjad said in a statement.
