An eye witness said that no gathering was allowed today at the Hazratbal Shrine which houses the holy relic of the Prophet.

Earlier, on November 2, major religious functions including traditional Khoje-Digar prayers at the shrine of Hazrat Naqshband Sahib at Khojebazar were not allowed. Pertinently, from August 5, after Home Minister Amit Shah announced abrogation of Article 370 and stripped Kashmir of its statehood no Friday congregational prayers were allowed at historic Jama Masjid in Srinagar.
