Eid Milad-Un-Nabi (SAW) is being observed today with reverence and devotion to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

To commemorate the day, special prayers are being held by devotees across the state.

Last night, prayers for whole night were held at various shrines and masjids. All roads leading to Hazratbal were illuminated with lights and people on roadside were seen distributing tehri( yellow rice- traditionally made), and tea.

Also after every namaz, devotees will be shown the glimpse of the holy relic of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
