ores of residents of Aali Masjid area of Eidgah locality in Srinagar city Wednesday staged a protest at press enclave Srinagar against the Power Development Department for failing to mitigate their sufferings.
The protesters were chanting anti-PDD slogans.
The residents said that they are living in a miserable condition due to the absence of electricity for last 15 days. “The chilly winter has aggravated our problems,” they said.
Talking to Kashmir Life they said that they informed the concerned department about the damaged transformer several times but the department has failed to repair the transformer till now, thereby forcing them to come on roads.
The residents demanded immediate redressal of their problems and replacement of the power transformer.
