SRINAGAR: At least eight people were injured after a Tata Sumo rolled down on the Bedar-Dunogam link road in Mandi area of Poonch district on Sunday, officials said.
Officials said the vehicle, bearing registration number JK12-6675, was travelling on the Bedar-Dunogam link road when it met with an accident at Bedar and rolled down, leaving eight passengers injured.
The injured have been identified as Md Arif, 17, son of Ab Majeed; Sharaz Ahmed, 15, son of Musthaq Ahmed; Naseer Ahmed, 16, son of Musthaq Ahmed; Mumtaz Ahmed, 20, son of Ab Gani; Habib Dar, 70, son of Aziz Dar; Mohd Shafi, 22, son of Fata Mohd; and Iqlak Ahmed, 18, son of Mohd Bashir, all residents of Dunogam. Zahid Ahmed, 18, son of Ab Rasheed, is a resident of Rajouri.
All the injured were shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Mandi for treatment.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident, officials said.
