SRINAGAR:  At least six persons were injured when a speeding car rammed into pedestrians on the Jammu-Pathankote Highway  last evening, police said.

The driver of the car with two other occupants lost control and hit three pedestrians on the highway at Barwal Morh last evening. The vehicle, which was on way to Jammu, later hit a tree, they said adding six persons were injured in the accident.
In another mishap last night, a truck carrying apples to New Delhi from Kashmir skidded off the road and rolled down into a canal in Bari Brahmana belt of Samba district.

The driver and conductor of the truck escaped with minor injuries, they said
