A 70-year-old man died after hit by a speeding car at Prangroo area of Mawer, Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.
Reports said that the man identified as Mohd Abdullah Bhat (70) of Prangroo, Mawer was hit by the speeding i10 Grand Car today afternoon near Prangroo. “In the mishap, Bhat suffered critical injuries in his head and was immediately shifted to district hospital Handwara where he succumbed to injuries”.
A police officer also confirmed the death of the man. He said that hunt has been launched by police Qalamabad to nab the accused driver.
“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations were taken up,” the officer said. (GNS)
