SRINAGAR: An elderly man drowned in the River Jhelum near Jamia Bridge, Sopore area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.
An official said hat the deceased was identified as Ali Mohammad Dar, a resident of Muslim Peer Sopore.
Rescue teams have been pressed into service, and further details are awaited. (KNC)
