SRINAGAR: An elderly man jumped into river Chenab in Jammu on Thursday and was saved by the timely action of SDRF.
An official said that an elderly man from Kana Chak jumped into river Chenab from Steel Bridge Akhnoor.
He said SDRF team headed by SI Sahab Singh saved his life by rescuing him and said that the person has been shifted at SDH Akhnoor for treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance and started an investigation—(KS)
