In a bizarre turn of events, an elderly Kashmiri Pandit was ruthlessly beaten by CRPF men in Levdoora area of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.

In a 1: 37-minute video, viral on social media now, a Kashmiri Pandit namely Krishan Ji Raina, son of Gopi Nath Raina says that he and his wife were stopped by the two paramilitary men at Levdoora. Raina was asked to stop his vehicle and go back. “I was out to get medicines for my wife and I was already far away,” the elderly man says in a video.

“They asked me to go back and started beating me without any reason, “he said. The elderly man was even asked to leave Kashmir, “What are you doing here, this place is not for Hindus,” the CRPF personnel told Raina.

While showing the pieces of a stick, Raina says; besides car damage, he has sustained injuries on his arm, ear, legs and back. “Luckily there were some locals who helped us and saved me from the hands of CRPF men,” Raina said.
