SRINAGAR: A woman identified as Khatija Bhat, wife of Abdul Rehman Bhat, a resident of Kanidiwar Hawal has been missing for the past six days and her family is now seeking help from the general public to find her.
The elderly woman has been missing since 27 December afternoon.
A close family member of the missing woman said, “She had surgeries on both her eyes and was not feeling well when she left home.”
Khatija, a mother of five girls, lives with her husband who is a retired engineer and her unmarried daughter, who is also taking care of her elderly parents.
In this regard, a missing report has been lodged at Police Station, Nowhatta, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, the concerned police official said that they are currently looking into the matter, “As of now, there has been no substantial breakthrough in the case. Our team is working alongside the family member in locating the missing woman,” the police official stated.
Pertinently, according to family members different people from the Hazratbal locality, have informed of sighting the woman at different locations in their area, unfortunately, no surveillance footage could be traced.
