Budgam

One person died and one is stated to be critical as massive protests erupted in central Kashmir’s Budgam district. Both are residents of Dalwan, Charar-i-shrief.

According to sources the polling booth in the area was overrun by the protesters.

Locals told Kashmir Life over phone  that forces opened fire on protesters in which 20-year-old Muhammad Abbas died  and other person Moeed is stated to be critical.

However police identifies deceased as Faizan Ahmad Dar and the critically injured as Jan Muhammad Rather son of Fateh Muhammad Rather.  The injured has been shifted to SKIMS.

Police officials confirmed the death of one person, however  said “we are yet to ascertain who fired as there is complete chaos in the area.”
