Polling for Srinagar Parliamentary seat concluded with officials saying that the total toll poll percentage is 6.50%.
However, CEO Shantamanu said that to conclude the details may take more time as they have not received all EVMs yet. He further said “ some EVMs were snatched but we later got few of them back.”
Regarding the killings, CEO said “it was not a good day for all of us” as he said that “there were around 200 incidents of violence.”
The by-election witnessed massive clashes in which six persons died while many others were injured.
In the fray are nine candidates, the main tussle is between NC’s Dr Farooq Abdullah and PDP’s Nazir Ahmad Khan.
