SRINAGAR: The power supply got affected in several downtown areas and Bemina area in Srinagar city on Saturday evening after Zainakote grid developed some technical snag.
Quoting several consumers the news agency KNO reported that Chattabal and its adjacent areas didn’t get electricity since 8:00 PM.
They said the areas were reeling under darkness for more than 3 hours now and demanded power supply be resorted at an earliest.
Meanwhile, Chief Engineer, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), Javed Yousuf Dar said that electricity was affected in some areas being fed from Bemina and Wanganpora receiving stations after technical snag at Zainakote grid station.
He said electricity to the affected areas was being restored.
