God helps those who help themselves! Yes, this is the time to help a young Kashmiri girl patient who is fighting for her life at SKIMS Soura.
An eight year old Jabeena admitted in Ward 5P-Bed 19 in SKIMS Soura is currently undergoing Chemotherapy treatment for cancer at SKIMS for last many weeks.
A resident of Kandi Lolab in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, her family is unable to pay for the daily expenses on her treatment.
This was made public by a youth, Ab Rouf Khan, who is attending his brother in the same ward of SKIMS.
Speaking to Kashmir Life, Rouf said, “the family is in dire need of financial help. The little girl’s father keeps roaming in Srinagar for money.”
Rouf said that the patient requires B +ve blood as well.
“Her family has lost hope because of non-availability of financial resources,” Rouf said, “but the positive thing is that Jabeena is responding to medicines and is showing signs of improvement immediately after first dose of Chemotherapy.”
However, the money factor is a hurdle to complete the cycle of treatment. “She needs to have more medicines for which she needs money,” he said.
Rouf appealed general masses to extend help and save the young soul. “Even if you donate Rs 10 that will be reserved for you on the Day of Judgment.”
Anyone interested in helping her by way of money or facilitating medicines can personally visit directly to SKIMS, Ward 5P- Bed 19, he said.
