Eminent writer, poet and teacher, Prof Ghulam Nabi Firaq passed away Saturday in Srinagar after prolonged illness.
A professor of English, he was a celebrated poet and writer and had won many awards.
Author of many books, Prof Firaq had a huge contribution in Kashmir’s modern poetry.
All sections of society have condoled the sad demise of Prof Firaq. They have prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Prof Firaq will be laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Nowshehra, Srinagar.
