Following a gunfight which ended with the killing of two militants, the district administration of north Kashmir’s Bramulla has decided to close educational institutions for ten days in Bandi Payeen area of Chandoosa for “security measures”.

Amid the prevailing situation, the deputy Commissioner of Baramulla has written a letter to chief education officer (CEO) appealing to close the schools for next ten days as there is a possibility of explosives due to the recent encounter in the area.

Earlier, two militants were killed in a gunfight with government in Bandi Payeen area of Chandoosa Baramulla.

As the encounter ended, a team of officials were on the job to sanitize the area; they have requested not to visit the said area to avoid any untoward incident.
