SRINAGAR: Within one hour after an encounter broke out in Chaktaras Kandi area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara, two militants were killed, police said.
An official said that two LeT militants have been killed in the encounter at Chaktaras Kandi area of Kupwara.

He said that the gunfight broke out in Chaktaras Kandi area on Tuesday early morning following a search operation.
He identified one among two slain militants as Tufail a resident of Pakistan.
This is the second encounter in last 12 hours. Earlier last night, one militants was killed in the encounter between the counter insurgents and the militants in Panipora forest of Zaloora village of Sopore. In the Kupwara encounter, police said they have killed two LeT militants and the searches are going on.
