Kashmir Zone Police, while taking to microblogging site X said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Parigam.
“#Encounter has started at Parigam area of #Pulwama. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice,” they tweeted.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
